When I was studying at London Business School, the university engaged an executive coach with me as part of the degree program. This was my first exposure to the world of coaching and it opened my eyes to its potential. I benefited immensely from it and later utilized the tools with my team at work.
An executive coach unlocks one’s potential by helping one gain self awareness, clarifying one’s goals and setting an actionable plan to achieve them.
There are numerous coaching methodologies used in the corporate world today. I subscribe to Marshall Goldsmith’s stakeholder centred coaching process. Marshall Goldsmith was recognized as the #1 Leadership Thinker in the World and the top 5 Management Thinker in 2015, as well as one of the top ten Most-Influential Business Thinkers and the top-ranked executive coach at the 2013 biennial Thinkers50. He is the author of best-selling books ‘What Got You Here Won’t Get You There’ and ‘Triggers’.
I am certified in Marshall Goldsmith stakeholder centred coaching, and Global Leader of Future (GLOF) 360 Assessments.
